POSITION: Food Server (Waiter/Waitress)

Essential Functions & Minimum Qualifications:
* Fluent in English with ability to communicate effectively with patrons, team members and management in both written and verbal form.
* Must be able to handle a flexible schedule. Potential candidates must have open schedule availability, including weekends and holidays.
* Be hard working and able to multi-task and manage time effectively with minimum supervision in a fast paced food service environment.
* Be detail oriented as well as efficient, and able to make suggestions to improve service and customer satisfaction; promoting Estrellita’s excellent service standards at all times.
* Have a positive, energetic and proactive attitude with a pleasant smiling disposition in accordance with Estrellita’s practices. Providing friendly and attentive service in a timely manner that makes guests feel well taken care of and builds their intent to return.
* Must have a thorough detailed knowledge of the menu, daily specials, beverages, ingredients, preparation of food, and prices.
* Take accurate orders and present check for payment in a timely manner after dinner and return promptly when tendered.
* Monitor the cleanliness of assigned station including floors, and assist in keeping the area free of debris. Ability to organize a busy station and be able to bus and prep tables as needed.
* Complete assigned side-work and any additional tasks in accordance with Estrellita’s training.
* Behave in a professional manner with the ability to demonstrate sound judgment and mature decision-making.
* Maintain personal grooming, hygiene and clean uniform standards in accordance with Estrellita’s Health Practice Standards.
* Practice and observe safety rules and regulations and encourage others to do so.
* Adhere to all Estrellita’s training, policies and procedures.

* Have previous experience as Food Server (waiter/waitress) in a fine dining or casual setting in the restaurant industry.
* Bilingual (English/Spanish).
* Knowledge of Mexican food is a plus!
* Knowledge of point-of-sale (POS) systems.
* BARISTA and/or BARTENDER skills and TiPS Certification.
* Weekends and holiday availability preferred.
* Experience working events in a catering/banquet environment.
